Information Tracking Platform
The NextPage platform follows every document as it proliferates and migrates, using the Digital Thread™ tracking service. Digital Thread tracking makes it possible to take control of all the unstructured, unmanaged, and de-centralized documents in your enterprise. Using a simple, natural process that is tightly integrated with the way users normally create and save documents, the Digital Thread piece of the platform makes it easy to classify a document from the moment it’s created, and propagate that classification along the lifecycle of the document. This provides the structure that organizations need to apply and enforce policies—without forcing people to change the way they work.
Repository Abstraction Layer
This layer of the platform hides and compensates for differences between all of the places where documents can reside, allowing the Digital Thread service to weave through users’ hard drives, email, network drives, removable drives, and various vendors’ repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint.
