Nextpage Shared Drive Data Service Installation
Each NextPage Data Service installed must be enabled through the NextPage Document Retention Console.

status of Started. If the status is not Started, highlight the service by right-clicking on the NextPage Data Service SD service and selecting Start. This will attempt to start the service. If you experience errors, please see the Troubleshooting section of this guide for assistance. Note: Share permissions are necessary for the user running the service even if local NTFS file permissions have been granted. The NextPage Shared Drive Data Service monitors files using the file share and UNC path exactly as an end user does and must have the appropriate share permissions to access the file share. Additionally, each user storing files on a monitored file server needs the appropriate access and share rights for each monitored file share. (Each upload location designated in the NextPage Document Retention Client and Document Retention Console will need to correlate to a valid file share with appropriate user access.)
